Leapup Edutech was founded in 2016 by Harshit Shah and Ronak Gala — two finance practitioners who saw a gap that academia wasn't closing. Harshit, a CA and LLB with 12+ years of teaching experience across NM College and NMIMS, saw firsthand that students were graduating without the skills the industry actually needed. Ronak, a portfolio manager and capital markets expert, brought the markets side of the equation. Together they built what became Leapup — starting small, staying consistent, and compounding quietly over nearly a decade.
Today, Leapup operates across three fundamentally different use cases — each serving a different learner profile, each with a different delivery model, and each running on Edmingle.

The institutional arm — and arguably the most ambitious use case — partners with colleges to supply curriculum, faculty, and full delivery infrastructure for finance programs under India's NEP framework. Nagindas Khandwala College and St. Xavier's College each run their own dedicated Edmingle setups as part of this model. Many more partner institutions are served directly through the primary Leapup account.
Leapup's story isn't one of a sudden breakthrough. It's the story of two operators who spent nearly a decade running small, disciplined experiments — testing what worked, doubling down on it, and never over-committing before the market validated the direction. When Harshit and Ronak came to Edmingle in August 2021, they were a single CFA prep business. What they needed was a platform that could start where they were — and scale with them wherever they went next.
What followed was new use cases, new college partnerships, and a 30× revenue jump in a single year. The platform didn't need to change. The team just kept building — and Edmingle kept up.
Leapup has been on Edmingle since August 2021 — making them one of the longest-tenured founding relationships in Edmingle's history. They came in as a small CFA prep business and stayed through every version of the product, every phase of their own growth. What made them stay? Harshit puts it simply: the platform is easy enough that their students experience it every day without friction — and the support is fast enough that when something breaks, it gets fixed before it becomes a problem. The team at Leapup has a running joke about the relationship: "We joke about going into a relationship with Edmingle," Harshit said. Five years in, it's not a complaint.
"Edmingle is not just an LMS. It's a complete training operations platform — it cuts across acquisition, engagement, retention, and even monetisation. Anyone building a training business doesn't need to look outside this ecosystem."

EDMINGLE ACROSS USE CASES
The most impressive thing about Leapup's Edmingle setup isn't the scale — it's the variety. B2C professional training for CFA aspirants. Institutional delivery for college students under the NEP framework. Two partner colleges each with their own dedicated Edmingle setups. Each of these is fundamentally different in how learners enroll, how content is delivered, and what outcomes matter. Edmingle supports all of them without forcing Leapup to stitch together a patchwork of different tools. "These use cases look very different on the face of it," Ronak explained, "but on the back end, the core of what we need to do is actually the same — and Edmingle's modules are flexible enough to serve all of them."
Two specific features stand out. First: automatic recording of all live sessions. Harshit doesn't need to set up a separate recording system, manually upload files, or chase instructors for session recordings. The moment a class ends, the recording is available on the platform for students who missed it. Second: precise video navigation for recorded content — the ability for a student to jump to exactly the moment they need to revisit. For an exam prep audience working through dense financial concepts, these aren't conveniences. They're table stakes.
Running multiple delivery models and college partnerships means things occasionally go wrong. What Leapup found over five years is that Edmingle's team treats their problems as Edmingle's problems. Issues are escalated directly when they need to be — and Harshit has surfaced things directly to Gaurav personally when something wasn't moving fast enough. "A lot of things have reached you personally," Harshit said, "and things get resolved — on a culture and business level." That kind of access and responsiveness is what makes a long-term relationship possible — not just technically, but operationally. When you're running 2,376 live sessions a year across B2C and institutional programs, a strong support is a must and thats what Edmingle has provided.
